TEEN ACCUSED OF FATALLY SHOOTING HOLDEN HOWSE APPEARS IN COURT

In Roane County, Tennessee, 17-year-old Riley Pawlick, accused of fatally shooting 18-year-old Holden Howse during a Labor Day weekend party in Harriman, will remain in juvenile detention following a court hearing. Pawlick faces charges of second-degree murder, aggravated assault, and tampering with evidence after allegedly shooting Howse and pistol-whipping another victim at a party hosted at Mr. Clean Detailing and Window Tinting, owned by Harriman City Council member Brian Frost.
Witnesses testified that the party involved alcohol, marijuana, and multiple attendees carrying guns, with tensions escalating over a THC vape pen. The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation reported that Pawlick admitted to the assault but denied firing the shot, though evidence suggests otherwise. The medical examiner confirmed Howse died from a single gunshot wound to the head.
A judge denied house arrest for Pawlick, ordering a mental evaluation while he remains in custody. Friends of Howse, wearing “Live Long Holden Howse” t-shirts, mourned his loss, and the investigation continues with cooperation from local authorities.
