Putnam County authorities say a 16-year-old male suffered an accidental gunshot wound to the leg this morning (Wednesday, October 4, 2017) at a Southmeade Drive home. Medical crews rushed the juvenile to Cookeville Regional Medical Center for treatment of non life-threatening injuries. The Putnam County Criminal Investigation Division is looking into the incident and no criminal charges have been filed so far.
