TENNESSEANS MAY SEE GAS PRICE INCREASE DUE TO ALABAMA PIPELINE LEAK
Gasoline prices in Tennessee have been steadily dropping since the Labor Day holiday, however that may change. The Colonial Pipeline Company in Shelby County, Alabama has shut down its’ operation temporarily in order to evaluate and make repairs on a possible leak. This could cause a decrease in the gas supply for surrounding states, including Tennessee. Currently the statewide average for a gallon of unleaded gas is $2.01. The lowest price for a gallon of gas in Crossville is $1.84 while in Rockwood, the lowest price is $1.89.
