The Tennessee Highway Patrol says that a Crossville man was involved in an accident in Putnam County Friday morning. They say 41-year-old David Carroll of Crossville was traveling west on Highway 70 East in the area of Hunter Cove Rd. when his vehicle left the roadway and hit an embankment. There were reportedly no skid marks on the road and at this time it is unknown if Carroll may have fallen asleep before the crash.
