TENNESSEE HIGHWAY PATROL SEARCHING FOR FUGITIVE
The Tennessee Highway Patrol is searching for an escapee. Troopers say Joseph Ray Perkins got away from authorities in Williamson County (just south of Nashville). He stands 6’2” and weighs 175 pounds. He was last seen wearing a white T-shirt and silver shorts and no shoes. He has blue eyes and short brown, possibly blond, hair.
Perkins assaulted a trooper outside the Williamson County jail. Perkins had slipped his handcuffs from behind his back to his front. When last seen Perkins was still wearing the handcuffs.
Perkins had a full extradition warrant from Tuscaloosa County, Alabama, for probation violation with the original charge being burglary. His current charges are evading arrest, three counts of felony reckless endangerment, theft over $10,000, being a fugitive from justice, and escape, with additional charges pending.
If you have any contact with Perkins, call 911 immediately.
