DOVER, Tenn. — On Sunday August 7th at approximately 6:08 pm, dispatch requested Deputies and EMS to respond to a possible drowning of a 3-year-old at 128 Botany Lane. When officials got there, the child was deceased.

Deputies arrested 54-year-old Scott Myers and charged him with aggravated child abuse, resisting and evading arrest, disorderly conduct and aggravated assault of a first responder.

It’s unclear what led to the first responder being assaulted. He is being held on $101,500 bond.
