A 58-year-old Kentucky man sustained injuries Tuesday afternoon after his vehicle hydroplaned and struck the guardrails on Interstate 40.

According to dispatch records, the incident occurred on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, at approximately 4:47 PM on I-40 Eastbound just before mile marker 317.

Authorities report that Marsh Bush of Kentucky was driving a 2023 Tesla Model S eastward when the vehicle lost traction due to hydroplaning. The car collided with the guardrail face on both sides of the roadway.

Bush was wearing his seatbelt at the time of the crash and sustained injuries. Officials confirmed that no charges have been filed in connection with the accident.
