At least one person is dead and one in serious condition following a motorcycle wreck which occurred on “The Dragon” in Blount County, Sunday afternoon.  Tennessee Highway Patrol says the investigation is a fatalaty investigation.

Scene was approximately 2/10 of a mile from mile marker 4. Victims were 45 feet off road basically straight down. 2 people injured. 1 patient on the bird being transported to UT hospital. Second patient DOA. EMS returning to scene for recovery of the second victim. Crash had apparently occurred yesterday and the victims had been down for approximately 24 hours. Will update as soon more info is released.

***UPDATE(19:20)- From sources on the mountain, the accident involved two male riders from Missouri, one rider stopped suddenly and other rider rear ended him and both went off the side. No word on the condition of the rider who was flown to UT.***
