THP INVESTIGATING WOMAN HIT BY FIRE TRUCK

The Tennessee Highway Patrol is investigating an incident where a woman was hit by a fire truck in Cleveland. Troopers say the incident happened Tuesday (September 19, 2017) when the driver of a F-350 fire truck was making a left turn from Church Street onto Inman Street and hit 45-year-old Melinda Heald of Cleveland. Heald was airlifted by Life Force helicopter to a nearby hospital for treatment of injuries. Troopers say that the fire truck, which was being driven by 45-year-old Peter Vandusen, was not in emergency mode. No charges have been filed at this time.
