THP TROOPERS SEIZE 6 OZ METH AND 3 OZ CRACK IN CUMBERLAND COUNTY I-40 DRUG BUST
A Tennessee Highway Patrol (THP) trooper from the Cookeville area, working alongside an Interdiction Plus trooper, conducted a traffic stop on a speeding vehicle along Interstate 40 in Cumberland County.
Following the stop, a probable cause search of the vehicle uncovered approximately 6 ounces of methamphetamine, 3 ounces of crack cocaine, and 7 grams of marijuana.
The driver, identified as a violent felon, was subsequently arrested and charged with multiple drug trafficking offenses. This incident highlights ongoing efforts by THP to interdict narcotics on Tennessee’s highways.
