THREAT AGAINST HARRIMAN HIGH UNFOUNDED; EXTRA PATROLS ASSIGNED AS PRECAUTION
Last night, the Roane County Sheriff’s Department had a report of a potential threat toward Harriman High School. The school system and sheriff’s department determined there was no threat at around 11 p.m. last night and declared it a false report. While it has been determined that the threat never occurred, the Roane County School System and Roane County Sheriff’s Department took the report very seriously and investigated immediately. While this threat was false, the sheriff’s department will have law enforcement on hand at the school this morning as a precautionary measure. Anyone caught making threats against any school will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.
