THREE ARRESTED ON DRUG CHARGES IN CUMBERLAND COUNTY

Three individuals are facing drug charges in Cumberland County following different traffic stops Friday by deputies.

The first involves 54-year-old Joe Pat Adcock of Sparta for having a headlight out. The officer reportedly observed small baggies on the floorboard consistent with packaging narcotics. A K-9 officer alerted the deputy to the possible presence of drugs. A search allegedly revealed 68 grams of a THC extract, meth, four handguns, and two AR-15-style rifles.

Adcock was arrested for the manufacture, sale, delivery, or possession of meth and a controlled substance and possession of a firearm while committing a felony.

Adcock was processed at the Cumberland County jail and initially placed under bonds totaling $100,000.

The second incident involved 24-year-old Marco Antonio Hernandez of Crossville for an expired registration on the 700th block of Cook Road.

The officer learned Hernandez is on probation.

A consent search of the vehicle reportedly revealed a ‘Honey Buns’ box with four envelopes inside the box. One allegedly contained meth.

Hernandez was charged with felony possession of meth.

The third drug arrest Friday involved 34-year-old Joshua Keith Burgess of Monterey. He was pulled over at the corner of Lantana Road and Miller Bypass after the officer saw his vehicle cross over the center line and into oncoming traffic.

A search of his automobile reportedly revealed marijuana, a digital scale, and meth.

Burgess was arrested for felony possession of meth.
