Three individuals escaped injury in a vehicle accident late last week on I-40 in Cumberland County. The Tennessee Highway Patrol says in their report released over the weekend a 2015 Nissan Altima driven by 41-year-old Leslie Ann Wattenbarger of Crossville was traveling west at the 320 mile marker when she was struck on the left side by a 2019 Freightliner tractor trailer operated by 50-year-old Carl Rickwartz of Amarillo, Texas. Rickwartz was charged with failure to exercise due care. Both drivers and a 14-year-old passenger in the Altima were not hurt.
