THREE FEMALES STEAL HIGH VALUED JEWELRY FROM DIFFERENT WALMARTS

On November 22, just before 6 PM, city officers were dispatched to Crossville Walmart for three subjects stealing jewelry and fleeing. When officers were able to review camera footage of the incident, they observed three females entering the parking lot in a small white SUV and pulling through so that their vehicle was facing toward the store.

Officers observed through camera footage, three black females walking around briefly before making their way to the jewelry counter. One female can be seen getting a Walmart employee to come to the counter to help the three get jewelry out of the locked jewelry display. All three women picked out a 10k diamond ring and tried to get the employee to use the register at the jewelry counter to purchase their items. However, due to the three stating they wanted to pay with a cash card and get cash back, the employee took the three to the front to complete their purchases.

An employee then scanned the three rings and placed them into a shopping bag. While attempting to complete the transaction, they allegedly began to confuse the cashier. They started saying they wanted to pay with a cash card and need $80 back. This caused the register to have issues because the type of card was unable to get cash back and caused an error. One of the females left and went into the parking lot, one stepped away to talk on the phone, and the third continued talking with the employee. While the one was talking to the employee at the register, she picks up the shopping bag containing the three rings and holds it close to her as she continues to confuse the cashier. According to loss prevention, the female at the register told the employee “Nevermind” and walks off, still holding the rings in the shopping bag close to her, and proceeds with the other female into the parking lot and into their vehicle. The driver who was in the parking lot hops in the car, and they all exit at a high rate of speed, staying near the rear of the parking lot. Due to the vehicle staying in the rear of the parking lot, officials were unable to clearly obtain a tag number or positive make/model of the vehicle.

The rings are valued at a total of $3084.00.

Loss prevention had been notified by the Rockwood Walmart that three females had entered their store and stolen multiple pieces of high-valued jewelry before fleeing in a white SUV. However, the three females had already stolen the rings from Crossville Walmart matching the same description before they realized it.  Crossville Loss Prevention did notify Cookeville to be on the lookout.
