Three individuals in Cumberland County each face an indictment by a grand jury for aggravated assault. Court papers state 27-year-old Steven Cody Derossett of Rockwood got into a physical altercation with a man while doing bridge work on Mayland Road in October 2018. Derossett apparently kicked and punched the male then struck the victim in the head with a hammer. The other two separate incidents involve 34-year-old Dara Kinsey Smith and 40-year-old Michael Stanley Simmons. Both are accused of strangling a victim. All three will be arraigned in court next month.
