Three road projects in Roane County could very well slow or stall traffic for a while. Here is a look at the projects:

INTERSTATE 40 EASTBOUND IN ROANE COUNTY BETWEEN MILE MARKER 341 AND 342 – Shoulder work will result in a lane shift 24 hours daily. This work is expected to be completed by September 30, 2018. Motorists should be advised there are narrow lanes in this area and speeds going into this particular zone should be GREATLY reduced before entering.

STATE ROUTE 1 BOTH DIRECTIONS IN ROANE COUNTY BETWEEN KINGSTON AVENUE AND PATTON LANE – A widening project will cause temporary lane closures every day. This work is expected to be completed by this Friday (August 31, 2018)

STATE ROUTE 61 SOUTHBOUND IN ROANE COUNTY BETWEEN I-40 AND MARTIN ROAD – Bridge repair will cause a reduction in lanes from two to one lane every day. This work is expected to be completed by May 31, 2019.
