TDOT says there are three road projects in particular motorists in Cumberland County should be aware of.

The first involves crews removing vegetation from 7 a.m. until 5 p.m. daily in the median of I-40 between the 333 and 334-mile marker between Crab Orchard and Westel. It will result in inside shoulder closures in the work zone.

The second area involves an inspection of the Highway 70 bridge over Piney Creek at the Cumberland/Roane County line. It will take place Monday, February 26, from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. Motorists can expect delays in this area as the eastbound lane will be closed.

The third is utility work on Highway 70 from Renegade Mountain Parkway east to Daysville Road. Drivers can expect delays from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m. and should reduce speed in this zone. This project will last until March 15, 2024.
