Crossville police, fire and medical first responders were busy this afternoon responding to three accidents within a four hour period. The first took place just after noon on Peavine Road that reportedly involved four vehicles, according to dispatch. Not thirty minutes later, a vehicle accident on North Main Street just north of Interstate 40 involved two vehicles. The third accident took place around 4 pm when a black Chevy Impala collided with a silver Toyota Tacoma on Highway 70 about 30 yards south from the intersection of Northside Drive and Highway 70. At least one patient was transported in the third accident to Cumberland Medical Center in Crossville for treatment of injuries. Traffic on Highway 70 was re-routed onto Northside Drive for just over 30 minutes while the scene was being cleared. An injury report for the first two accidents was not available from the Crossville Police Department.
