THURMAN STREET IN CROSSVILLE TO BECOME TWO WAY ROAD
At last night’s Crossville City Council meeting, members approved a request to turn a short section of Thurman Avenue from a one-way to a two-way street. The planning commission previously did not recommend the move because of concerns of the street’s width. City Manager Greg Wood suggested lowering the speed limit of the section of road behind BB’s Deli but Police Chief David Beaty informed the council it was currently set at 20 m.p.h. A motion was made by Mayor Pro Tem J.H. Graham III and received a second from Councilman Danny Wyatt. It passed with Councilwoman Pamala Harris abstaining.
