TODD OLSON NAMED NEW ADMINISTRATOR OF PALACE THEATRE IN CROSSVILLE

The Crossville Parks and Recreation Department announces 57-year-old Todd Olson is the new administrator of the Palace Theatre. He replaces Ronny Hill who is retiring. The last official day for Hill is August 7, 2020. Olson, originally from Iowa, had been living and working in Chattanooga for the past 3 years. He served there as the executive director of the Chattanooga Theatre Centre.

Olson received his Bachelors of Fine Arts in Musical Theatre at Missouri’s Tarkio College.

After his time at Tarkio College, Olson went straight into another degree at the University of North Carolina, where he earned a Masters in Acting and Directing. He then went to New York and worked for several years. He also spent time teaching and working at a community college in Michigan, and he earned a certificate in stage directing from Harvard.

He worked for the American Stage Theater Company in St. Petersburg, Florida for over a decade, and he also lived in Maryland, where he was an executive director for an arts festival.

Todd plans on moving to Crossville very soon and is looking forward to his new position.
