A tractor-trailer accident yesterday in Cumberland County on Interstate 40 resulted in one being extricated from the wreckage and one lane being shut down for a few hours. The Tennessee Highway Patrol says a 2016 Volvo tractor-trailer operated by 47-year-old Everett Gilbreath of Palmdale, California was traveling at the 316 mile marker when he left the road, traveled down and back up an embankment and crashed into several trees off of the interstate. Gilbreath was transported by ambulance to Cumberland Medical Center for treatment of injuries sustained.
