TRACTOR-TRAILER DRIVER OVERTURNS AVOIDING DEER IN CUMBERLAND COUNTY
A tractor-trailer driver was involved in an accident in Cumberland County yesterday on Interstate 40.
The report released today from the Tennessee Highway Patrol states a 2023 Volvo tractor-trailer operated by 35-year-old Rodeney Faustin of Florida was traveling east at the 334-mile marker when a deer entered the roadway.
Faustin took evasive action to prevent striking the deer and left the roadway.
The tractor-trailer struck a cable barrier, overcorrected, and overturned.
Troopers say Faustin was not hurt and restrained at the time of the crash.
