Firefighters responded to a tractor-trailer blaze around 8 p.m. on Interstate 40 in Cumberland County last night.

As crews battled the fire, one eastbound lane was closed at the 339-mile marker near the Westel exit.

Authorities say traffic was backed up for a while as the fire was contained and put out.

The cause of the fire or if there were any injuries was not initially released.

A report of the incident will be released soon by the Tennessee Highway Patrol.
