Roane County Authorities and the Tennessee Highway Patrol had their hands full Wednesday afternoon after a tractor-trailer broke in half on I-40. The incident happened on the westbound Harriman ramp around Noon. The ramp was partially closed for six hours while crews worked to off-load the contents of the trailer onto another hauler for removal. Then the split trailer was taken away. There was no reason given for the occurrence and no injuries were reported.
