A major traffic disruption has been reported on Interstate 40 Eastbound in Cumberland County Tuesday evening following an incident involving a disabled vehicle.

According to the Tennessee Highway Patrol (THP), all eastbound lanes near mile marker 340 are currently closed. The incident was officially reported at 6:02 PM CT.

THP officers are on the scene managing the situation. Drivers traveling through the area should expect delays and are advised to seek alternate routes if possible while emergency crews work to clear the roadway.
