(as of 12:30 p.m. eastern today, Friday, May 28, 2021) – Traffic is backed up in Roane County on I-40 in both directions from two different accidents. The first is at the 353 westbound and the other is at the 352 eastbound mile marker. Crews are working to clear the scenes. Secondary roadways are also jammed up around the scene. The Tennessee Highway Patrol is investigating both crashes. More information will be released later.
