A trial date was set today in Cumberland County Criminal Court for a man charged with a sex crime.

The grand jury indictment against 28-year-old Quentin Eugene McDaniel states he forced himself sexually on a 14-year-old victim between January 29 and 30, 2018.

If convicted of the Class B felony rape charge, McDaniel faces a range of 8 to 30 years in prison and a fine of up to $25,000.

The trial for McDaniel is scheduled to start on July 10, 2024.
