The Tennessee Highway Patrol says a motorist was forced off I-40 in Cumberland County late this morning by another resulting in an accident. The report states a 2015 Chevy Malibu operated by 77-year-old Mary Kessler of Woodleaf, North Carolina was traveling west at the 334 mile marker when an unknown motorist, who did not stop, came into her lane resulting in her going off the asphalt and into a cable barrier. Kessler and a passenger in her car, 84-year-old Matthew Kessler, escaped injuries in the crash. Traffic was backed up at the scene for over a half hour as a result.
