TROOPERS RELEASE REPORT OF MOTORCYCLE CRASH ON HIGHWAY 68

The Tennessee Highway Patrol released a report this morning of an accident early Saturday afternoon on Highway 68 in Cumberland County. It states a 2015 Chevy Impala driven by a 15-year-old and a 2006 Harley Davidson operated by 63-year-old Russell Manthey of Crossville were both traveling in the same direction when the juvenile slowed down to turn into the parking lot of Meridian Baptist Church. Manthey was unable to slow down fast enough and impacted the left rear of the Impala. The collision ejected Manthey who landed in a ditch. He was flown by an air medical helicopter to an area trauma center for treatment. No injuries were reported to the teenager in the car and a passenger, 47-year-old Darrell Dixon of Crossville.
