A truck driver from Saginaw, Michigan was arrested in Crossville recently for leaving the scene of an accident. Police was called to the Walmart parking lot to investigate a vehicle that had been hit by a tractor-trailer rig. The car was unoccupied at the time of the accident. The semi was located stopped on the Highway 127 North exit ramp 317. The driver, 50-year-old Julio Cesar Alvarado did confess to being in the Walmart parking lot, but he told officers that he had no idea he had struck a car. Upon inspecting the truck for damage, police found a rear outside tire that was going flat after popping as a result of the incident. Alvarado was arrested and taken to the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Dept. for booking.
