The Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) says an employee at Watts Bar Nuclear near Spring City has tested positive for COVID-19. Officials say the employee immediately followed TVA policy upon learning of the positive result and self-isolated. TVA has taken many steps to stop the spread of the virus among employees for several weeks, including at Watts Bar. TVA will continue to monitor the situation and take additional steps if necessary.
