TWO AIRLIFTED TO TRAUMA CENTER AFTER MOTORCYCLE ACCIDENT
Two people were flown to U.T. Medical Center in Knoxville for treatment of injuries following a motorcycle accident late last night in western Cumberland County. The Tennessee Highway Patrol says a 2015 Honda operated by 28-year-old Matthan Fish of Crossville was negotiating a curve on Browntown Road near Frazier Road when he lost control. The motorcycle fell on its side and slid 50 yards before coming to a rest. Troopers say when the Honda hit the road, both Fish and a passenger, 19-year-old Jesse Surber of Crossville, were both thrown from the motorcycle. Troopers say Fish was not wearing a helmet but Surber was at the time of the accident. Officers say excessive speed was a cause of the crash. As of noon today, Fish was listed in critical condition and Surber was discharged from UT Medical.
