TWO ARRESTED AFTER 100 GRAMS OF METH SEIZED DURING TRAFFIC STOP AT OZONE FALLS

While on patrol late Tuesday night, a Cumberland County deputy observed 46-year-old Travis Dewayne Melton of Monterey driving erratically on Highway 70 East at Ozone Falls.

A check of the passenger, 34-year-old Heather Ann Swafford of Crossville, revealed an active warrant for failure to pay child support.

Officers searched the vehicle. They reportedly found a bag containing 100 grams of meth, 12 Percocet pills, and 4.3 grams of marijuana.

Melton was arrested for the manufacture, sale, delivery, or possession of meth, tampering with evidence, and manufacture, sale, or delivery of a controlled substance.

His initial bond was set at $175,000

Swafford was charged with the manufacture, sale, delivery, or possession of meth and the manufacture, sale, or delivery of a controlled substance. Her bond was set at $125,000.
