TWO ARRESTED FOR REPORTEDLY HAVING KILO OF METH IN RHEA COUNTY

Rhea County deputies made a traffic stop last night on Highway 27. During their investigation, officers found the driver and passenger, 39-year-old Christopher Hernandez and 38-year-old Tamara Beltran, were allegedly in possession of approximately a kilogram of meth and  approximately $10,709 in cash. Both were arrested and transported to the Rhea County jail for possession of meth for resale, possession of drug paraphernalia and three traffic violations.
