TWO ARRESTED IN KINGSTON FOR TAKING FINANCIAL ADVANTAGE OF THE ELDERLY

On 03/04/2025, officers with the Kingston Police Department made two arrests as the result of an ongoing investigation. Lewis Walker, 30 and Linda Shultz, 71, both of Kingston were charged with financial exploitation of an elderly or vulnerable adult.

  In June of 2024, Captain Keith Kile began an investigation with Adult Protective Services at 102 Hope Circle in reference to an elderly/vulnerable individual being financially taken advantage of.

  The victim was charged $300.00 a month to live in a shed with no bathroom or running water. The victim was also charged an additional $100.00 a month for use of a microwave. Linda Shultz had access to the victim’s financial account. Linda Shultz and Lewis Walker made numerous charges on the victim’s account funds.

  The victim was removed by Adult Protective Services. After the victim was removed, Linda Shultz and Lewis Walker continued to make purchases and withdraw funds from the victim’s account.  Purchases included $2000.00 for a vehicle, numerous purchases at Wal mart, utility bills, and purchases on OnlyFans.  

  Lewis Walker was served with the charges at the Roane County Detention Facility where he is incarcerated for unrelated charges. Linda Shultz was arrested at her residence and transported to the Roane County Detention Facility.
