Crossville police responded to Executive Inn yesterday for a consensual encounter with occupants in a room for suspected drug activity. Officers encountered 46-year-old Jeffrey Marlyn Hays of Crossville and Katelyn M. Conlan of Baxter. A search of an item with Conlan allegedly revealed a plastic bag containing a residue of a crystal like substance. A female officer conducted a pat down of Conlan and reportedly discovered a needle. The report says more of the substance and another needle was found in a bathroom sink. Both were arrested for simple possession of drugs. Conlan additionally faces manufacture, delivery or possession of meth.

Hayes was arrested in the same location Monday (March 22, 2021) after a bag of meth was allegedly found.
