TWO ARRESTED ON DRUG CHARGES ON TABOR LOOP
Cumberland County deputies went to a home Monday on the 3400 block of Tabor Loop to a domestic altercation.
The report released today states officers encountered 29-year-old Nathan Kenneth Sherrill and 33-year-old Sheena Michelle McCoy, both of Crossville.
A check revealed two active warrants for McCoy for violation of probation and child support.
Sherrill asked the deputy if he could hug McCoy before she was put in the deputy’s cruiser. He told Sherrill he could.
That is when McCoy reportedly passed a piece of aluminum foil to Sherrill.
When confronted about it, Sherrill threw it into a ditch. The piece of foil, containing a small amount of heroin, was retrieved. Deputies noted finding meth during the arrests.
McCoy was arrested for the manufacture, sale, delivery, or possession of meth and simple possession of drugs.
Sherrill was charged with the manufacture, sale, delivery, or possession of meth, tampering with evidence, and simple possession of drugs.
