TWO ESCAPE INJURY IN ACCIDENT ON I-40 IN CUMBERLAND COUNTY
The highway patrol responded to a single vehicle accident in Cumberland County before sunrise this morning. Trooper David Jones says a vehicle driven by 38-year-old Jesus T. Salinas of Crossville was eastbound on I-40 at the 330 mile marker when he lost control and left the road striking a guardrail. The impact cause the vehicle to flip over on its top in the right lane of the interstate. Salinas and a passenger, 24-year-old Valencia Eduardo of Crossville, both escaped injury in the crash. Salinas was cited for failure to maintain his lane of travel.
