TWO FLEE THROUGH WOODS AFTER STEALING VEHICLE FROM BUSINESS AND CRASHING IT

Cumberland County, TN- Dispatch received a phone call Saturday for a vehicle accident on Cox Valley Road. The caller stated that a male and female left the vehicle and took off on foot, fleeing into the woods.

After deputies arrived, while running the registration of the vehicle, it came back to SRM Concrete.

When at the place of business, it was observed that one of the buildings had been broken into. Video surveillance captured two subjects who had gained entry into the back of the building. They then rolled up the door from inside the building and took the key and vehicle that was inside. The subjects left in the vehicle and when they tried to turn around in a driveway, it had gotten stuck, and they both left the scene on foot.

Investigators and K-9 dogs were on the scene tracking to find the two individuals. When speaking with a resident of the Grassy Cove Community, he told deputies that he had seen the two coming out of the woods and they asked him for a ride. The man, who had no idea they were wanted subjects, gave them a ride to a residence in Rhea County.

Authorities went to the residence described where 31-year-old Tyler Boles and 33-year-old Megan Hyder were found and placed under arrest.

They were both charged with Theft ($1,000 – $9,999) and Burglary.
