Cumberland County medics and deputies responded yesterday to a two vehicle accident at the corner of Chestnut Hill Road and Gate Road. The accident report says an unknown driver in a 1997 Chevy Cavalier crossed the center line and struck an oncoming 2019 Hyundai Sonata operated by 26-year-old Angelica R. Garcia of Crossville head-on. The driver of the Cavalier fled the scene before deputies arrived. A passenger in the Cavalier, 44-year-old Joshua T. Webb of Crossville was transported Cumberland Medical Center for treatment of suspected serious injuries. A second passenger, 42-year-old Jeremy A. Hall of Crossville, was not hurt but was charged with public intoxication. Garcia was also transported to Cumberland Medical Center for treatment of injuries. Deputies are searching for the driver of the Cavalier.
