Law enforcement and medics in Roane County responded yesterday to a single-vehicle rollover crash near the Patton Lane intersection with Roane State Highway.

Officers say a 2019 SUV driven by 67-year-old Francis Irmiter of Evensville, Tennessee, lost control, left the roadway, and turned over.

He was flown by Lifestar to U.T. Medical Center for treatment of injuries.

A passenger, 55-year-old Tammy Irmiter, was able to free herself from the wreckage before paramedics arrived. She was transported by ambulance to Roane Medical Center.

The Rockwood Police Department is investigating the crash.
