TWO LOCAL AND ONE AREA COLLEGE/UNIVERSITY TO RECEIVE EMERGENCY FUNDING
Two local and one area college/university will receive emergency funding under the Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security Act. The money is designated to provide emergency financial aid grants to students for expenses related to the disruption of campus operations because of COVID-19 including eligible expenses under a student’s cost of attendance such as food, housing, course materials, technology, health care and child care. Tennessee Tech will receive just over $4.3 million, Roane State Community College will see just over $1.6 million and Tennessee College of Applied Technology in Crossville will get nearly $250,000.
