TWO MEN ARRESTED WITH METH NEAR PINE RIDGE

On Wednesday, Deputy J. Coley and Deputy D. Templeton made contact with a blue Chevy Silverado in the area of Pine Ridge Circle after the vehicle abruptly stopped off of the shoulder of the road while the deputies were behind the vehicle.
Upon making contact with the driver of the vehicle Nathan Watson, Deputy Coley was advised that he was headed to the hospital to try and get the passenger (Daniel Clower) medical attention due to him passing out after overdosing. Coley observed that Mr. Clower was alert and conscious, and so had Watson step out of the vehicle for assessment.
A driver’s license check through dispatch showed that Mr. Watson had two warrants, one out of Cumberland County and one out of Bledsoe County. After confirming Clower was not having a medical emergency, Coley had dispatch run his name and date of birth, which confirmed that Clower also had an active warrant out of Cumberland County for Theft.
During their interaction, the Deputies observed several articles of paraphernalia in plain view inside the passenger compartment of the truck and executed a search. When asked, Mr. Watson confirmed that there was Methamphetamine inside the ashtray near the center console, along with paraphernalia throughout the vehicle.
The deputies located a clear plastic bag with Methamphetamine weighing approximately 1.24 grams.
Both subjects were then placed under arrest for their active warrants. Prior to booking, Deputy Coley found Clower had in his possession a black wallet, which held half of a burnt pen consistent with paraphernalia used to smoke narcotics and some burnt aluminum foil as well as a folded-up foil pack with methamphetamine weighing approximately .79 grams.
Both have been charged with the simple possession of Methamphetamine and have been served their outstanding
warrants.
