TWO MEN SHOT AT ADELADE APARTMENT COMPLEX IN KNOXVILLE
At around 9:50 p.m. last night, September 17, 2024, KPD officers responded to the Adelade Apartment complex on Sevier Avenue, where a 26-year-old man was found suffering from a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. Around that same time, officers responded to the Sutters Mill Apartments in West Knoxville, where a 21-year-old man was found suffering from a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.
Following investigation conducted by KPD Violent Crimes Unit detectives, it was determined that both men were shot at an apartment at Sutters Mill Lane. The two victims were involved in an apparent heated domestic-related confrontation when both fired shots.
In the course of the investigation, officers located and confiscated three different firearms.
All involved parties are known and accounted for. Detectives have been in communication with the Knox County District Attorney’s Office concerning their findings as the investigation has progressed. At this time, no charges have been filed in connection to the shooting and the investigation is continuing.
