A two vehicle accident in western Cumberland County December 26 resulted in both drivers arrested for driving under the influence. Trooper William Morgan says in his report released last night a 1998 Chrysler driven by 37-year-old Bobbi Jo Bruggner of Sparta and a 2006 Dodge R15 operated by 47-year-old Kenneth MacDonald of Crossville were both heading west on Highway 70 West. Bruggner reportedly ran off the road, overcorrected and was hit by MacDonald. The Chrysler went down an embankment and came to rest in a wood line. Both drivers were not hurt. Bruggner was charged with DUI, simple possession of drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia and violation of the financial responsibility law. MacDonald was charged with DUI, failure to exercise due care and failure to keep his vehicle in the proper lane. Both were taken to the Cumberland County jail.
