UCHRA DIRECTOR LUKE COLLINS FIRED

Upper Cumberland Human Resource Agency director Luke Collins has been fired from his position after the UCHRA policy committee voted 14 to 12 to take the action against him. The vote to fire Collins came after a closed-door attorney-client meeting in which the results of an independent investigation into misconduct accusations against Collins were revealed to board members. Those findings were not revealed by the UCHRA board attorney. The UCHRA board placed Collins on administrative leave in February of this year after allegations surfaced that Collins misused funds for personal trips, received undue comp time and misrepresented his work hours. Interim executive director Mark Farley will continue to lead UCHRA until a permanent replacement is chosen.
