UNEMPLOYMENT RATES CONTINUE TO DROP IN AREA
Eighty-six of the state’s 95 counties experienced lower unemployment according to data released late yesterday from the Tennessee Department of Labor and Workforce Development. In the listening area, Cumberland County dropped from 4.5 to 4.3 percent, Roane fell from 4.7 to 4.5. Pickett declined to 4 percent, and Fentress and Morgan went down to 4.7 and 4.8 respectively.
