UNEMPLOYMENT RATES INCREASE IN 73 OF 95 COUNTIES IN TENNESSEE
In figures released yesterday, unemployment rates increased in 73 of Tennessee’s 95 counties for October. Rates went down in six counties and remained steady in sixteen. The statewide seasonally adjusted unemployment rate in October was 3.3%.
Cumberland County’s October jobless rate was 4.4 percent, which is 0.1 percent higher than September’s rate of 4.3 percent.
Roane County rose to 3.9 percent, Bledsoe County is up to 5.5, Fentress increased to 3.8, and Pickett went up to 4.6 percent unemployment.
