UNLOADED GUN FOUND IN CCHS STUDENT’S VEHICLE TODAY

Parents of Cumberland County High School students received an automated voice message shortly after 2pm Friday afternoon from Principal Jon Hall informing them that an unloaded gun had been found in a student’s vehicle parked at CCHS. School officials say the firearm was discovered while administrators were conducting a search of a student’s vehicle for items unrelated to the firearm. In a release from the DOS Graham, at no time was a threat made, nor were any CCHS students or staff in danger. The student was immediately placed in custody and the handgun was confiscated.
