UPDATE: SUSPECT IN CUSTODY FOLLOWING DEADLY SHOOTING IN LENOIR CITY

The Loudon County Sheriff’s Office has now reported the capture of a suspect in this morning’s deadly shooting on Lee Hi Street in Lenoir City.

Chief Jimmy Davis says the arrest occurred around 2 p.m. Central Time in the Walker Springs area of West Knoxville. Details are sketchy at this time.

Deputies had been searching for 26-year-old David T. Miles, who was believed to have been armed with a 9mm handgun and a shotgun, and driving a grey 2010 Ford Fusion.

Schools in the vicinity of the shooting were placed on precautionary lockdown while the suspect was at large.

Authorities are still asking anyone with information about this morning’s shooting to contact the Loudon County E911 Center at (865) 458-9081.
